Outsourcing is a positive thing in my opinion. I feel that if the work is better in other courtiers then that is where companies should go. If the Americans feel that their jobs are being taken then they should compete and work harder to get their jobs back. However, I do feel that if companies are making sweat shops then that is wrong but if the work is better and there is more talent in other courtiers then that is where they should go. I think that outsourcing is important to outsource because then maybe that U.S work force will be more competitive.

Like Erika, I feel outsourcing is a positive thing, because:
I- It is more cost effective for companies. And that’s why they exist: to make money and then hold onto it.
II- The techinical intelligence possesed by certain foreign countries. Companies want the best possible people working for them, and frankly, if I’m going to be buying their product then so do I. The Fuqua study even revealed that 70% of companies cite seeking “qualified personnel” as their motivation for moving overseas.
III- Finally, many jobs being shifted overseas are routine, mundane jobs. Not all of the tranferred work even results in the loss of US jobs. And, if the mundane work is going overseas, then more of the innovative work is being done here in America by Americans.
For these reasons I think outsourcing is a healthy, positive moves for companies who feel it suits them.

I think that outsourcing is a positive thing because it is giving the people in India a chance to work for a U.S company. I do think that it is sad that U.S jobs are being taken but if the people in India are willing to work harder for the jobs then they should get the job. However the people that are getting the jobs should be paid the same amount as the people that are working for the same company in the U.S. This will make sure that no sweatshops will turn up.

I believe that outsourcing is a positive thing for the world. It is cheaper for countries to outsource their business to places like India and China because their labor costs are lower. I also believe it is a positive business because not that many people in the United States are going to college for engineering and technology purposes.

Outsourcing has the potential to be a great business venture. I believe that outsourcing has the capability to benefit both workers in foreign countries and the companies that outsource the labor.
The workers in a foreign country who need work, want new opportunities in their home country, or simply are in the right country at the right time- receive all that added to a boost in their country’s GDP. When large corporations outsource their work they are able to bring money into the hands of lower class workers. This can benefit those workers if the wages are fair to the local economy, and if the usage sweat shops/sweat shop conditions are penalized. On an even broader scale, the outsourcing of work can lead to large economic growth & benefits for the country that supplies the outsourced labor. India, for example, is one of the major countries which many large companies have begun to outsource more and more jobs to. “Since 1990, has emerged as one of the wealthiest economies in the developing world; during this period, the economy has grown constantly with only a few major setbacks. This has been accompanied by increases in life expectancy, literacy rates and food security.”
For the countries that outsource their jobs, Sixty-one percent say outsourcing helps their companies perform better. Seventy-four percent are satisfied with their outsourcing experience. Profits have proven to grow for those countries that outsource their work to lower their labor costs.

I feel that it is negative. While u can be making more jobs these jobs will not be in the fields of work that were outsourced. Two when 3/4 companies that outsource don’t fire there existing employees, that mean that of the so many small business that hire 1 of every 4 fires US employees for ones that are cheaper. And finally when a person has 2 years of edu then 2 years of job specific edu they are not prepared for change, like drafting for example the people were taught to draft by hand all drawing, while US spent longer and learned that drafting on computers could be available and big. When drafting on computers took over the hand drafters would all be fired for ones trained do just computer draft. This leaves people whom were depending on the job to lose it. And now because they sold their farmland because they were engineers now they are beggars that can draft.

I feel that outsourcing is a positive trend. Outsourcing is cheaper to employ people which in turn we make more money. Outsourcing also provides opportunity for jobs in other countries to become popular and more individuals will become employed. People overseas are getting job training for certain jobs, so they are better qualified for the jobs they are pursuing. I think outsourcing is a positive trend, yet there are some things that may not be a down fall.

I think that outsourcing is not too great because of the negative aspects that the American employees experience. It takes away the chance for Americans to compete for their jobs which causes lack of motivation. Also it is unfair that people who work at college for four years and pay for it don’t get a job to people who only have had two or three years. Outsourcing has some good qualities but the immoral values of paying hard workers low wages and other negative aspects show how it is a negative trend.

I think outsourcing is one the worst things to happen to America because they think it is o.k to lay off many people and move the company abroad to pay a person to do the same job for less. The reason I may lean towards this fight is because both parents are engineers and my mother work is moving to China in the next year because of outsourcing. I hope that the American government steps in so how and changes the way these companies are taken advandage of other countries.

    1) Outsourcing is a good thing. Outsourcing is in the best interest of any company and all they are trying to do is find the best person for the job. If people on the homefront are worrying about losing their jobs they just need to work harder. Outsourcing is also spreading job oppurtunites all over the world to deserving people.

I think outsourcing is good. Not only does it give people good jobs, oppurtunities, and knowledge in underdeveloped countries but it also saves companies money and allows them to have 24-hour productivity due to different time zones. One could argue that it takes jobs away from U.S. citizens and this is true, however, for companies, the pros out weigh the cons.

I think outsourcing is a good idea because it gives more people jobs and oppertunities. Also, it saves the company lots of money in the long run because wokers in India will work for less money and I think that the number of people who go to school for technology and buisness are going down so they need someone to do the job.

-The world is changing, and the priveleged place that american/western economies held agianst the weaker economies of the world is dissappearing. With expanded capitalism, we must expect the worlds economy to become more equal. Though it is very sad to watch jobs leave our country, this is what capitalism entails; an economy that is not held by domestic policy/loyalty, but by one of world economic equality.
